About Me
As a yoga instructor, I strive to bring people more in touch with their spirit, calm their mind, while also strengthening their body. I adjust pace and level according to the student's level and needs, as well as provide clear instruction and comforting hands-on adjustments.
Growing up as a dancer I have always been attracted to things that involve moving, expressing, and challenging myself. I was of course attracted to yoga as soon as I took my first class. I was given the opportunity to go attend Anuttara Ashram for the 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training. Over the three years of practicing yoga, I have noticed a great amount of positive change in my physical, mental, and spiritual health. By teaching private yoga classes, I aspire to share and pass down the knowledge and traditions of yoga.

Hatha Yoga
Hatha is a branch of yoga that includes most yoga styles. It is an older structure of yoga that includes the practice of asanas (yoga postures) and pranayama (breathing exercises), which help bring peace to the mind and body, preparing the body for meditation.
Vinyasa Yoga
Vinyasa yoga is a general term that describes many different styles of yoga. It generally means movement synchronized with breath and is a vigorous style based on a rapid flow through sun salutations. Vinyasa may also sometimes be referred to as a flow class, which refers to the continuous flow from one yoga posture to the next.
Restorative Yoga
Restorative is a gentle, relaxing, and passive style that allows students to relax and release the body into gentle stretches that are held for as long as 10 minutes. This style uses a variety of props, such as bolsters, blocks, straps and blankets. The intention is to provide support within each pose, making it easier to completely let go.

What are the benefits of yoga?
Yoga helps to increase your flexibility, increase muscle tone and strength, improve your circulatory and cardio health, helps you sleep better, increase your energy levels, improve athletic performance, reduce injuries, detoxify your organs, improve your posture, improves anxiety and depression, helps with chronic pain, release endorphins that improve your mood, and so much more...get private yoga classes with me customized to meet your goals with yoga.
Why are private yoga lessons better than going to a group lesson?
Group lessons at studios or gyms are usually packed with 10-30 people and that means there is less attention on you. If you are serious about yoga and its benefits it is important to know if you are doing the poses correctly. Private yoga training creates a space where the private yoga teacher can pay attention to you and correct you whenever you are doing something wrong. Not only that but they can create a lesson that is unique to who you are, your goals, and the type of style/styles you enjoy!
